SMOKED CHICKEN TIKKA KARAHI :
Today our talented team member and chef Mariam Shoaib contributed this amazing recipe of SMOKED CHICKEN TIKKA KARAHI which has a lot of steps but they all are very well defined.
Marinate 1 kg chicken( with bones/boneless) with 2 large lemon juice, half packet of shaan/national tikka masala, soya sauce 3 tbs. vinegar 3 tbs for 6-8 hours. Place it in refrigerator after covering with a cling foil.
Take a pan and add some oil in it. Add in the chicken marinade and cook on high flame for 10 minutes. lower the flame, cover the lid and let it cook till almost tender.
Take a little oil in another pan and add 3 large cubed tomatoes. let it cook till tender and easy to mesh. turn off the flame.
Take oil in another pan and saute 2 large cubed onions till light golden brown. add 2 tbsp ginger garlic paste and saute till aroma comes. add in the remaining tikka masala , cooked tomatoes and mix well. add 1 cup whisked yogurt and cook till oil separates.Check the spices (salt and red chili powder)
Add the chicken in this gravy and let it cook for some time.
Give smoke of coal.
garnish with coriander leaves, ginger, chopped green chilies.
Serve with naan.
