Marco’s Italian Kitchen
Since, the United Arab Emirates holds a sound reputation in the food world around the globe, undoubtedly, Marco’s Italian Kitchen was a remarkable experience as we were pleasingly surprised by this new Italian eatery at the Pyramids, Wafi. For all those people who are fond of Italian food, Marco’s is the right place!
As we enter the restaurant, a very unique interior welcomes us which is very cozy and casual at the same time. We were seated indoors, watching everything live, cooking in their workshop like kitchen, that has been trending a lot these days in the UAE. The whole theme of the restaurant features color, with all the ingredients displayed on the front. The most amazing thing about this restaurant is that they have their own botanic garden where they grow vegetables that they use in their food. Isn’t that incredible?
We were invited to have a look at the live cooking demonstration by the chef Marco Ghezzi, known for his culinary skills, which was very enjoyable and a fun cooking show! Starting with the first dish that we watched being made live, was called Risotto, made of carnaroli rice. We were amazed how the chef made it so easily and just in a few minutes!
Coming to the second dish, it was the scrumptious Rib Eye Steak, with fresh and dry beef. We watched it live being cooked for us on the grill, and I would recommend to go for the fresh beef rather than the dry one. It was delicious!
We also witnessed the third dish that was the Octopus Salad. We would not give any comments about the salad since we didn’t try this salad by choice.
Any lunch is incomplete without a dessert. So the last and the fourth dish was the Tiramisu, a traditional Italian dessert from Veneto, a blend of cream and cheese with a taste of coffee, berries and chocolate. It was a heavenly dessert melting immediately in the mouth, exploding our taste-buds.
In the end we would like to say that we definitely recommend Marco’s Italian Kitchen to the people who are fans of real Italian food. The food prices are also not expensive at all according to UAE standards as it will only cost you around 40-80 for the starters and only 90-160 dhs for the main course, which we say is worth it as you will definitely love everything about the restaurant from its food to its interiors, ambiance and a great friendly service!
